What to expect

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a yard full of excited, happy dogs. You’ll get to know your guide and meet your dog team. Our dogs are very friendly and love to give kisses!

Watch their energy-level skyrocket as we get the team ready to go, then hit our private trails for an approximately 1-2 mile run, depending on weather conditions.

Once you leave the dog yard, you will be completely immersed in the wild. Our carts are 100% dog-powered so you can take in the natural sounds around you. Our guests have seen moose, fox, lynx, black bear and bald eagles during their ride!

We’ll make several stops on the trail to give the dogs a chance to cool down and to make sure we get that once-in-a-lifetime photo of you with them!

Once back in the dog yard, you’ll see the dogs energetically dive into the kiddie pools we have waiting for them. They love to swim and it’s a lot of fun to watch!

We’ll have complimentary cookies and water for you to rehydrate too! You’ll head back on a nature walk to our hand-carved, wooden pavilion with a Denali view for a hands-on, show & tell-style presentation of the gear we use to train in the wintertime. We’ll bring a few dogs with us too!

Check out our Iditarod race sled and try stepping onto the runners! Slip on this year's Iditarod race bib and into the shoes of an Alaskan musher. All of our guides are professional mushers and have race experience. We love to share our personal tales from the trails and will happily answer all of your questions!

We’ll conclude the tour in our indoor gift shop, where you’ll have a chance to see more of our racing memorabilia and check out race team swag!

Your Alaskan Husky Adventure awaits!

Where We’re Located

We live on-site with our dogs in beautiful Willow, Alaska! We are 70 miles north of Anchorage, about a 1.5-hour scenic drive on main, highway roads. If you are headed to/from Denali or Talkeetna, we are on your way!

Our home sits at the base of Hatcher Pass, which connects our small town with Palmer. In the summertime, our guests can drive the Pass to get between these two destinations and combine activities for a day trip to the Mat-Su Valley!

How To Dress For Success

We have a saying in Alaska, that if you don’t like the weather, just wait 15 minutes! That can be especially true in the summertime! We recommend dressing in layers, and having a rain jacket on-hand, in the event of unexpected showers. We also advise wearing sunscreen, closed-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!

Getting to Our Place

Most of our guests find renting a car or using a ride sharing app such as Uber/Lyft to be the most economic options. A shuttle service is available from Anchorage for $125 per hour.
